Kansas - Lonely wind (piano solo) lyrics. Lonely wind (piano solo) by Kansas. When I'm needin' a friend I can talk to the wind. God I sure am glad that I found him. Sometimes he seems to be the only one beside me. Who can feel the Lord's breath all around him. Winter's cold frozen ice or a bright autumn day.

The song clearly is about Jesus Christ and is written from the point of view of probably Peter (one of His disciples) because he speaks of having to leave Him soon to make room for the loney tomorrow--the day of Christ's Crucifiction.

Or the wind could be a metaphor. Or the wind is the one who's sad. I really don't want to analyze it very much. I love this song. I put it on when I feel sad, and it doesn't make me happy, but I won't feel lonely anymore. I can't believe that 62 people commented on the other wind song from Kansas, but in 4 years, I'm the only one for this one.

Hear him call for the earth lonely, I can feel his great pain But on the eve of this day, I'll join in his refrain. Cry for me, sigh for me, sad my breezes flow Stay for me, play for me, the song my friends will know My lonely wind must blow. When I'm needing a friend, I'll remember the wind And my life here with the breezes of sorrow.
